Welcome to Waddenland!On the road with one of our ten interactive routes, you will discover the Northwestern part of Groningen in a completely innovative way.The walking, cycling and sailing routes all have a central themes, such as "The lost land", "26 Centuries living on ‘Wierden’", the Christmas floodings, Garden splendor, "Pioneers on former seabed" and "Land between salt and sweet." The story of each route is supported by the latest multimedia techniques.
The Waddenland region comes to life with text, photos, moving images, sound, height maps and historical drawings.Via Augmented Reality it is even possible to virtually enter the former landscape or step into a Borg (Castle) or Wierde, which have disappeared during past decades.
Your smartphone is your window to the past.
